Galway Irish Crystal is one of the leading giftware brands in Ireland and we are based along The Wild Atlantic Way in Galway city.

Galway has a long history of culture and the arts and it is a very welcoming city with amazing pubs and restaurants nestled in amazing scenery from Connemara to the Wild Atlantic Way. We are very lucky and proud to be based in The City of Tribes. 

Our company has been involved in the crystal and giftware business for over 50 years and we sell to the public in our stunning Georgian building showrooms and supply stores in Ireland and overseas plus a worldwide online business. Our fabulous shop in Galway is now a shopping and dining destination where you can spend a few hours getting lost in our shops and relaxing in the restaurant.

We started as a company producing heaving cut Irish crystal and over the years have expanded and developed our range to keep up to date with current style and shopping trends.

Galway Crystal Bag and Throw

In the last few years we have launched a new range of Claddagh Ring Jewellery inspired from our business being based Galway City - The home of the Claddagh Ring. 

All of our products are designed in-house in Galway and we have created a new Handbag, Scarf and Throw range to add to our expanding collection. From fabulous coloured handbags for all occasions to stylish Throws we are always expanding our product range to try keep up with what the customer wants.

We have a very talented team at Galway Crystal and most have been with us for quite a while and are here to help our customers find the perfect gift for themselves or someone special.

Meet our designers

Anthony Horrigan - Head of Design at Galway Irish Crystal

Anthony Horrigan Desgner  

Irish Designer Anthony Horrigan was born in Tipperary in 1988. After graduating with BA in Ceramic Design at Limerick School Of Art & Design in 2011, Anthony subsequently furthered his studies at Staffordshire University where he graduated with an MA in Ceramic Design in 2013. 

As head of design for Galway Crystal Anthony is responsible for development and design of our product range from glassware to jewellery and handbags to scarves.

Anthony has received many awards for his design work including the ‘Future Makers Innovation Award’ from the Crafts Council of Ireland, the ‘LIT purchase Award’ and the prestigious ‘Benjamin Boothroyd Award for Product Design’.

Before joining Galway Crystal, Anthony designed products for a variety of well established and contemporary brands including Wedgwood, Marks & Spencer, Flux Stoke-On-Trent and the British Ceramics Biennial to name a few.

Most recently Anthony has been invited as a visiting lecturer to Limerick School of Art and Design where he works with ceramic students to develop their product design and research skills.

 Clare Conway - Designer

Clare Conway designer Galway Crystal

Designer and artist Clare Conway was born in Philadelphia in 1985, migrating to Ireland in 1998.

 Clare has a passion for aromas and ingredients, combined with deep understanding of the different scent layers required to make a final fragrance. Clare combines top notes, heart notes and base notes delicately to make Galway Crystals beautiful fragrances.  

Clare graduated from University of Ulster with a BA in Fine and Applied Art in 2007. After working in material conservation and mosaic production as well as other lines of work Clare returned to higher education and obtained an MFA in Multidisciplinary Design in 2013. During this time she received the ‘Deans Post Graduate Award’, ‘Future Makers Materials Award’ and the ‘Royal Ulster Academy Student of Excellence Award’.
